At the age of seventeen I was was elected as Secretary of Chaatra sangh Sardar Patel Mahavidyalaya.
Q: Please elaborate us about your achievements throughout political career so far?
In 1989 and 1991 I contested the Lok Sabha elections from Chandrapur but lost both the time. In 1993, I was appointed as Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Youth Movement’s state unit. I was elected from Chandrapur Legislative Assembly Constituency with the vote difference of 55,000. It made record of largest vote Margin from Vidarbha. In 1998, I was appointed General Secretary of BJP’s state unit. Also in 1998, I received the best orator’s award for my performance in Maharashtra Vidhan sabha. In 1999, I was made a minister in the Sena-BJP government. I served as the Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection Department during the Shiv Sena-BJP saffron alliance. In 2001 I was appointed as National Vice President of Bharatiya

In 2009 I was elected from Ballarpur Legislative Assembly Constituency with the vote difference of 25,000 and In 2014 I was appointed as Cabinet Minister (Finance & planning and forest Dept.) of Maharashtra State.
Q: In your opinion, how PM’s “Make In India” will benefited to development of India?
Yes definitely, before 350 years, India’s contribution to world’s GDP was more than 25%. We used to be the most powerful nation in the world. But later British came and left us in the worst situation. So to brought back those golden days, our Prime Minister Shri. Naredra Modiji announced the Make In India scheme. Along with this he also announced, Zero Effectand Zero Defect where everything manufactured in India will be of high quality and will not damage the environment. He also wishes that in near future all the weapons and equipmentused by Indian Defense force will be manufactured in India. We Indians should proud that we got such Prime Ministerwho worship his work and considers himself as people’s worker.
Q: What was effect of demonetization on state?
It will help to make business in cashless and there will be no chance to generate black money. Money generated from Tax will be available for the benefits of citizen. In this situation the corrupt minded people will suffer the most. Modiji is thinking about all Indian people and he considers these all 125 Cr people as his own family. The effect our state got from it is, VAT increased by 1300 Cr. But I think Stamp Duty could be decreased.
Q: As you are Finance minister of state, have you faced any effect of demonetization on your daily life?
Yes many times. Like when I had only Rs. 2000 note with me and vendor had not enough change in return. But now we have sufficient new currency available. Now we have started our transactions by Credit or debit cards, cheque.
Q: PM Modiji, wants to make cashless economy, what is your view on this?
When we go to small vendors who doesn’t have cashless system then there will be no option except pay with cash. But wherever cashless system is available we should use it.
Q: Central Government has given the service tax exemption on online transaction, but still they are taking charges of it. Which department in state can take action on it?
If any businessman is taking service tax on online transaction then you can complaint to Central Government. Then Service Tax officers will do actions on these people.
Q: Opposition parties says that there is no any fruitful result of demonetization. What is your reaction to this?
In all this period, I don’t think any business was halted. Because all the transaction were happening smoothly through Card or Cheque. Only the business through Black Money was prohibited. So the question all parties are raising is invalid.
Q: Government just started working on statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Arabian Sea worth Rs. 3600 Cr. What is Government’s policy for Maharaj’s Forts in Maharashtra which are now in bad condition?
The people who are raising such questions are the one with less study, because in year 2015’s budget we have started working on all forts in state. These people are misguiding others as they couldn’t made it possible in their tenure.
Q: In cashless sector banking section has to work hard a lot. And people from village background don’t have online connections and knowledge about it, so how cashless will going to help for them?
People in village have very limited needs. In our nation we have 138000 branches out of 140000 branches have RTGS facility. Previous government have created online 7/12 and stopped handwritten 7/12, that time villagers have not faced any problem? Within one year we have opened 1.45 Cr. Bank Accounts under Jan Dhan Yojna. So every last person is connected to government. The grant money allocated to them is transferred to their account. There is every type of solution available for any transaction in this demonetization phase. People who are connected to black money are raising such stupid question. They are leading people in wrong direction. This is not the first time the decision of demonetization has taken. Europe, USA, everybody did this. Even we did it in 1978. In 2014, the notes of Rs. 500 before year 2005 were prohibited in congress government. The people who have deposited their black money in bank will get caught eventually.
Q: How do you spend your leisure time?
In leisure time I like to read books, watch films and dramas.
